Fixing of THE day

10.10.10
Sound pretty cool to me. So we've decided to proceed our registration on the 10th of October 2010 (101010). Since it's such meaningful day, as usual it'll be packed with couples to get themselves registered on that very day. You need to fill up some a form, bring some documents
  1. Collect the application form (Borang KC 02).
  2. Photocopy a sets of (A4 size not to be cut) identity cards (Front & Back) each.
  3. Photocopy a sets of (A4 size not to be cut) birth certificates each.
  4. Attached a passport-size coloured photographs each.
  5. Photocopy a sets (A4 size, not to be cut) of the respective identity cards of two witnesses who must be Malaysia Citizen above 21 years old.
  6. For the completed form & bring it to the Commissioner of Oath. With his / her 'legalised' signature, it means that he / she is the witness to see the bride and groom sign the form & also to confirm that the photostate IC is the same as the actual IC. The registration fee is RM 20.
  7. Waiting period is 3 weeks from the date of submission. Without Objection from any party, ROM can be carry on the desired date arranged.
  8. There might be some extra fees incurred if you decided to held it at private locations.
Simple ain't it. :) The simplest way, you can just go to the local Jabatan Pendaftaran for your registration. Else, you can do it in churches, temples, and some associations which is they normally have an officer who are qualified to be the witness to certify your registration. We decided to do it in a chinese association, Heng Ann in Melaka. It's a popular chinese association and it's also nearby my house.
